For nearly two decades, Ferrari's XX Programme occupied an elite, quasi-mythical realm within automotive culture. The FXX, 599XX, and FXX-K were uncompromising track-only laboratories, sold exclusively to Maranello's most loyal client-test-drivers and maintained by factory technicians. They were never allowed to wear license plates.
Until now. The Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale shatters that sacred precedent. Limited to 799 Coupes and 599 Spiders, this road-legal hypercar marries extreme Corse Clienti aerodynamic research with plug-in hybrid electric propulsion.

The Powertrain Evolution: 1,030 Horsepower Tri-Motor Symphony#
At the core of the SF90 XX is an extensively re-engineered version of Ferrari's 4.0-liter twin-turbo 90° V8 (F154FB). Maranello's engineers shaved 3.5 kilograms from the block, polished intake and exhaust ports, increased compression ratio with new specialized pistons, and removed the secondary air injection system.
Working alongside the internal combustion unit are three axial-flux electric motors—two driving the front wheels independently and one sandwiched between the V8 and the revised 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Electric Motor Output: 233 cv (230 hp) across 3 motors
System Total Power: 1,030 cv (1,016 hp / 758 kW)
High-Voltage Battery: 7.9 kWh lithium-ion pack (25 km electric-only range)
0–100 km/h (0–62 mph): 2.3 seconds
0–200 km/h (0–124 mph): 6.5 seconds
Top Speed: 320 km/h (199 mph)
Fiorano Lap Time: 1 minute 17.309 seconds (beating the standard SF90 by 1.7 seconds)
“"Engaging 'Qualifying' mode unleashes Extra Boost logic, metering out additional electrical punch on corner exits that propels you down Fiorano's main straight with the violence of a catapult."”
The Extra Boost software is directly derived from Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 energy deployment strategies. Over a single flying lap, the computer provides 30 burst activations—automatically sensing when you are unwinding steering lock onto a straight and delivering maximum current to slingshot the chassis forward.
Return of the Fixed Rear Wing: 530 Kilograms of Aero#
The SF90 XX Stradale marks the first time since the legendary 1995 Ferrari F50 that a road-going Ferrari sports car leaves Maranello with a factory-installed fixed rear wing. The aerodynamic architecture is breathtaking in both function and aesthetic drama.
Working in unison with the patented active shut-off Gurney flap, the wing shifts between Low Drag (LD) and High Downforce (HD) configurations in less than a quarter of a second.
Total Downforce at 250 km/h: 530 kg (1,168 lbs)
Front-Axle Downforce: 325 kg through front underbody louvers and redesigned S-Duct
Engine Cooling Optimization: 20°C drop in radiator intake temperatures via twin hood extractors
Underbody Ground Effect: Redesigned front diffuser and sealed undertray creating low-pressure vortex channels

Pounding across the curbing at Fiorano's Prima Variante, the SF90 XX reveals its greatest triumph: computational handling transparency. The updated ABS Evo system, integrated with the 6W-CDS (six-way Chassis Dynamic Sensor), measures vehicle acceleration along three axes and rotation rates to calculate tire grip with unprecedented fidelity.
Under trail braking, you can throw the front tires into the apex with total abandon. The front motors calculate independent regenerative torque, physically dragging the inside nose around the corner while the rear differential tightens to eliminate understeer completely.
Inside, the cabin features stripped-back carbon-fiber door cards, lightweight titanium paddle shifters, and bespoke monocoque racing seats upholstered in technical Alcantara that trim 1.3 kg while locking your pelvis firmly in place.
At €770,000 (and €850,000 for the Spider), every unit was spoken for long before the public debut. The Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale is a technological tour de force. It proves that hybrid electrification does not have to dilute the visceral drama of a Maranello supercar; instead, when harnessed with motorsport discipline, it creates an entirely new stratosphere of performance.
