2025 Corvette ZR1: The 1,064 HP Twin-Turbo King of American Supercars

General Motors has dropped a tactical nuclear weapon on the supercar establishment. The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has arrived, and its statistics sound like something generated by a video game physics simulator.
At its heart is the 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged LT7 V8, featuring a flat-plane crankshaft, secondary port injection, and twin 76mm ball-bearing turbochargers integrated directly into the exhaust manifolds.
Unprecedented Internal Combustion Muscle
Without an ounce of hybrid battery assistance or electric motor boost, the LT7 delivers:
- Peak Power: 1,064 HP at 7,000 rpm.
- Peak Torque: 1,123 Nm (828 lb-ft) at 6,000 rpm.
- Redline: 8,000 RPM flat-plane howl.
- Top Speed: Confirmed at over 215 mph (346 km/h).
- Quarter-Mile: Sub-9.7 seconds at 150 mph.

The Return of the Split-Window and Carbon Aerodynamics
In a brilliant nod to heritage, the ZR1 brings back the iconic split rear window, last seen on the legendary 1963 Corvette Sting Ray. However, on the C8, the carbon fiber spine is functional—extracting hot air from the engine bay while reducing rear turbulence.
Equipped with the ZTK Performance Package, the carbon weave front splitter, dive planes, and towering rear wing generate over 1,200 lbs (544 kg) of downforce at top speed.
With carbon ceramic brakes measuring 400mm at the front and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R rubber, the ZR1 is engineered to conquer the Nürburgring Nordschleife in under 6 minutes and 55 seconds.
